Society History
Founded in 1890, Wigston Angling Society is one of the longest running fishing clubs in the UK and provides anglers with over 15 miles of quality fishing on the Grand Union Canal in and around the Leicester area.
The aim of the society remains the same as that of more than a century ago.
‘To promote and safeguard angling on the Grand Union Canal in and around the Leicester area for the benefit of its members and visiting anglers’.
